This is a page which will just be a list of what I am reading and enjoying. Not everything will be fully written about but each will have a line or two which I hope will capture the essence of the book .
The Last Good Day by Peter Blauner. A murder mystery set in Rockland County, New York and Northern New Jersey post 9/11. A fast read with a twist that you will not see coming. Enjoyable
The Mask of Herod by Bernard Scott. This is a mystery whose roots go back to King Herod. If you like historical fiction with a mystery, you will love this book. I know I did.
Carter Beats the Devil by Glen David Gold. Waited a long time to get around to read this book and I am really am not sure why I wanted to read it. It's the story of a magician in the age of vaudeville with a foreshadowing of future America. The book held my attention for Act 1 and Act 2 by Act 3 I was wary of it and wished that his editor and encouraged a shorter version.
The Black Stiletto by Raymond Benson How would you feel if a comic book character that you knew and loved was based on the true story of your Mother's life ? A fun fast read
Toby Streams the Universe by Maya Lassiter What if you were so physic that you could read the universe for everything that you thought would make you happy ? Money, fame, glamour ? Would you ? Would you also put up with the dark side, you know, knowing what your friends and lover thought about you-nothing is secret. makes you wonder.....
